We believe every young person deserves to feel understood.

Every behaviour has a story.

Sometimes that story is anxiety, sometimes it's overwhelm, frustration or a nervous system that doesn't yet know how to communicate what it’s experiencing.

At West Is The Way, we believe that when a young person feels safe, understood and genuinely connected, growth becomes possible.

We work alongside young people, families, schools and support teams to build confidence, strengthen emotional regulation and develop practical skills that help them navigate the challenges of being human in everyday life with greater confidence and resilience.

Meet Scott

I’ve been privileged to spend the last decade working alongside young people and families helping them navigate some of life's most challenging moments.

My background includes teaching in a wide range of educational settings, wellbeing leadership and behaviour and disability support. I’ve worked across homes, schools and community settings, supporting young people with a wide range of emotional, behavioural and developmental challenges.

I believe lasting change begins with feeling safe, understood and genuinely connected. Rather than focusing on quick fixes, I take the time to understand each young person's strengths, challenges and environment so that the support we build together is practical, meaningful and sustainable.

Every family is different, and every young person has their own story. My role is to walk alongside them, helping build confidence, emotional regulation and practical skills that continue long after our time together.
